The skin changes gradually: collagen production decreases, muscle tone weakens, pigmentation spots and uneven texture appear. Hardware cosmetology is a field of medical cosmetology in which certified physiotherapy equipment is used to correct age-related changes: lasers, radiofrequency and ultrasound systems, and light-based devices.

At Iskusstvo Clinic, hardware procedures are performed under the supervision of cosmetologists with medical education. This is what fundamentally distinguishes the clinical approach from a salon-based one.

Each method affects specific structures of the skin and subcutaneous tissues. Some work at the level of the epidermis and stimulate cell renewal, while others reach the deep layers of the dermis and the SMAS fascia, triggering neocollagenesis and structural lifting. The choice of procedure or combination of procedures is determined during the doctor’s consultation based on examination and skin diagnostics.

Procedures Included in Hardware Cosmetology

Iskusstvo Clinic offers a wide range of hardware-based methods, from laser rejuvenation to ultrasound SMAS lifting.

Fraxel

Fraxel is a fractional laser for deep skin renewal. It is effective for wrinkles, pigmentation spots, uneven texture, and post-acne marks. It triggers controlled dermal renewal with minimal damage to surrounding tissues.

Morpheus 8

Morpheus 8 is radiofrequency microneedle lifting. It combines fractional RF energy and microneedling to remodel the dermis and subcutaneous fat tissue. It is one of the most requested non-surgical lifting methods.

Oligio

Oligio is a new-generation monopolar radiofrequency system. It provides deep tissue heating to stimulate collagen production and is suitable for the face, neck, décolleté, and body.

JOULE Skin Tyte

JOULE Skin Tyte is broadband infrared thermolifting. It acts on the dermis and hypodermis, improves skin turgor, and stimulates the synthesis of structural proteins. It can be used on different areas of the face and body.

BBL, or BroadBand Light

BBL is photorejuvenation using broadband pulsed light. It corrects pigmentation spots, vascular defects, and uneven skin tone. It is used on the face, neck, décolleté, and hands.

XEO Cutera Genesis

XEO Cutera Genesis is a laser system for skin rejuvenation, treatment of vascular lesions, and correction of diffuse redness. It provides gentle treatment without a recovery period.

Deka Laser Punto

Deka Laser Punto is ablative laser resurfacing for pronounced skin renewal. It is indicated for deep wrinkles, scars, and significant unevenness of texture and tone.

Heleo 4

Heleo 4 is photodynamic therapy. The method combines application of a photosensitizer with light exposure. It is used for acne, precancerous skin conditions, and photodamage.

Ulthera / Ultraformer

Ulthera and Ultraformer are ultrasound SMAS lifting systems. They act on the musculoaponeurotic layer of the face, providing structural tissue lifting without surgery.

Endolift LASER

Endolift LASER is laser lifting with subcutaneous insertion of a fiber. It is used to correct tissue ptosis of the face, treat cellulite, and remodel fatty tissue.

Endospheres Therapy

Endospheres Therapy is hardware-based anti-age therapy using compressive microvibration. It improves microcirculation, lymphatic drainage, and the condition of the skin of the face and body.

DermaPen

DermaPen is fractional mesotherapy using a microneedling method. It increases the bioavailability of active ingredients and stimulates dermal regeneration.

Facial Laser Resurfacing

Facial laser resurfacing is a controlled laser peel aimed at evening skin texture and tone.

Microneedle RF Lifting

Microneedle RF lifting combines radiofrequency energy and microneedling to remodel the dermis.

Removal of Pigmentation Spots, Vessels, and Wrinkles

This includes targeted laser or light-based treatment of specific cosmetic concerns.

Indications for Hardware Cosmetology

Hardware methods are used for a wide range of concerns:

Reduced skin tone and elasticity, ptosis of the facial soft tissues

Wrinkles: superficial, moderate, and deep

Pigmentation spots and uneven skin tone

Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture

Post-acne marks and atrophic scars

Vascular defects: couperosis, telangiectasias, and rosacea

Cellulite and localized fat deposits

Photodamage of the skin

How a Hardware Procedure Is Performed

Each course of hardware cosmetology begins with a consultation with a cosmetologist. The doctor assesses the condition of the skin, determines treatment goals, and selects the optimal method or combination of methods.

Before the procedure, the skin is cleansed. If necessary, anesthetic cream is applied, especially before methods involving microneedling or laser ablation.

Most hardware procedures take 30 to 90 minutes. Sensations during treatment vary: some methods are painless, while others are accompanied by mild heating or tingling. After the procedure, the doctor gives skincare recommendations and explains when the first results can be expected.

Result and Course of Procedures

Some methods provide a visible effect after the first procedure, such as BBL photorejuvenation or thermolifting.

Other procedures, such as ultrasound SMAS lifting or deep fractional laser resurfacing, require time for new collagen fibers to form. The final result appears within 2–6 months.

The recommended number of sessions and the interval between them are determined individually by the doctor.

Contraindications

General contraindications for most hardware procedures include oncological diseases, pregnancy and breastfeeding, acute inflammatory processes in the treatment area, the presence of metal implants or a pacemaker for certain methods, decompensated chronic diseases, and blood clotting disorders.

The list of contraindications for each specific method is clarified during the consultation.

Why Choose Iskusstvo Clinic

At Iskusstvo Clinic, hardware cosmetology is implemented as a full medical field. The clinic’s cosmetologists have specialized medical education and regularly improve their qualifications.

The clinic’s equipment includes certified devices from leading international manufacturers, including Sciton, BBL, JOULE, Halo, InVivo, Morpheus 8, Lutronic, Oligio, Deka, Cutera, Merz, and others.

Working in one space with plastic surgeons and reconstructive surgery specialists makes it possible, when necessary, to combine hardware methods with surgical procedures to achieve a comprehensive and long-term result. This is especially important in cases of pronounced tissue ptosis, when hardware methods can complement surgical correction or be used to maintain its result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Hardware Procedures Be Combined with Injectable Cosmetology?

Yes. Many methods combine well with each other and with injectable procedures. For example, hardware lifting can be combined with biorevitalization or botulinum therapy.

The specific treatment plan, sequence, and intervals are determined by the cosmetologist during the consultation.

How Long Do the Results of Hardware Procedures Last?

The duration of the effect depends on the method, the initial condition of the skin, and individual characteristics. On average, it ranges from 6 to 24 months.

Repeat courses are recommended to maintain the result. The exact intervals are determined by the doctor.

Is It Painful?

Most hardware procedures are well tolerated. Some methods, such as laser resurfacing and Morpheus 8, require local anesthesia.

The doctor will explain in advance what sensations to expect.

Is Preparation Needed Before a Hardware Procedure?

Depending on the method, yes. For example, before laser procedures it is recommended to avoid tanning beds and sun exposure for 2–4 weeks.

The doctor provides specific preparation recommendations during the consultation.

Is There a Recovery Period?

With gentle methods, such as photorejuvenation, RF lifting, and HIFU, the recovery period is minimal or absent.

After deep laser resurfacing or fractional treatment, redness and peeling may occur for 3–10 days.

At What Age Can Hardware Procedures Be Started?

The use of hardware methods is determined by the condition of the skin and medical indications, not by age.

The cosmetologist will assess the situation and give recommendations during the consultation.
