JOULE SkinTyte™

JOULE SkinTyte™ is a broadband infrared skin-tightening system developed by Sciton. The device delivers controlled infrared light energy into the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, producing uniform heating while preserving the integrity of the epidermis.

Thermal stimulation initiates two complementary processes. The first is an immediate contraction of existing collagen fibers, which provides an early tightening effect. The second is neocollagenesis — the gradual production of new collagen over the following months, resulting in improved skin firmness, smoother texture, and better tissue support.

The procedure is non-invasive, does not require anesthesia, and involves little to no downtime, making it suitable for patients seeking skin rejuvenation without interrupting their daily activities.

How the Procedure Is Performed

The skin is cleansed, and a cooling gel may be applied when necessary.

The treatment handpiece is placed against the skin, delivering a sequence of controlled broadband infrared pulses. An integrated cooling system continuously protects the epidermis, allowing therapeutic heating of deeper tissues while maintaining patient comfort.

Patients typically experience alternating sensations of warmth and gentle cooling during the procedure.

No anesthesia is usually required.
