Alexander Ivanovich made an invaluable contribution to the development of reconstructive and plastic surgery in Russia. Together with neurosurgeons from the Burdenko Institute and Professor A.N. Konovalov, he took part in the country's first operation to separate conjoined twins, believing that no challenge is truly insurmountable. He took on the most hopeless cases -- patients turned away by specialists not only in Russia but in other countries as well.
Throughout his medical career, A.I. Nerobeev performed the most complex operations in reconstructive, maxillofacial, and microsurgery. He used to say: "There are no routine operations on the face. Everything is in plain sight -- you can't cover a face with clothing. Every such operation must be meticulously calculated." He quite literally restored people's faces after accidents, wounds, and oncological surgeries.
